Today--10/16/09

I saw this on Ali's blog and decided to do it as well!

A Picture to share...

Outside my window... I see all of the cedar droppings that say it is fall in Western Washington, and I also see the cat who would like to come in out of the rain.

I am thinking....How nice it would be to have all of the wedding plans done so we could just enjoy the time!

I am thankful for...an afternoon spent with Emily.

From the kitchen...grilled cheese sandwiches, not feeling so great today

I am wearing... jeans, a sweater and my new boots

I am creating...a new layout for my Yesterday/Today class and maybe some wedding stickers too!

I am going... to Office Depot either tonight or early tomorrow for some ink and ink-jet stickers!

I am reading...Our Iceberg is Melting for work by John Kotter

I am hoping...to get all of the invites for the wedding done by Halloween!

I am hearing... the sound of the heater in my office. I have been cold all day.

Around the house...it is quiet. Emily has gone and Rob won't be home for quite awhile.

On of my favorite things...is thinking of fun stories from my childhood for my Ali class I am taking.

A few plans for the week ahead....I get to sing this weekend, and I am going to visit Marian Todd on Tuesday!

Jessica's Final project!

Here is the final Jessica Project! I had a lot of fun trying all the techniques that I have learned in this class. I really think I will try another class when life settles down here!

More practice pictures!

Here are two more lo's I did for the Jessica Class. I added the stars to the picture of Rob playing the sax and I just had tons of fun with the halloween picture from when Amy was a toddler. This class has been so much fun--and I have learned so much. I plan to continue working on the projects after Mindy leaves with next week.

California!

I have finally been revived from my very busy trip to California! I can't believe I did so much in just one week.
Saturday started out early with a morning flight to Orange County. After picking up a car I headed out, only to return to the airport a few hours later to pick up Amy Birch. I have known her for awhile on different scrapbook sites--yet meeting her in person it seemed like we had been friends forever! Saturday afternoon we headed to CI preshow party. What a blast. Lots of food, make and takes and fun new things to see, plus some movie stars too!! We even got pictures with a few of them!

Sunday afternoon we headed to the Convention Center to CHA. It was even more overwhelming than I imagined. We visited lots of booths and did some fun make and takes. I could post probably 100 pictures of product and layouts from there but I will spare you that!
Making Memories was giving away many Slices--all you had to do was wear their apron and have your picture taken and maybe you would get choosen. Kathy of course looked super cute in her apron, and won a Slice.
Of course I am just silly enough that I had to wear mine backwards. This is probably why I didn't win a Slice but instead my sister and friends coined me "Super Slice" off saving the planet one layout at a time! Here I am about ready to fly away to my next adventure!

Everywhere at CHA there were darling houses decorated. It seemed to be a trend this year. Loved this one with the cute birds too!
Birds were big too. Loved this bird--not even sure which manufacturer made it--they all became a blur after awhile.

Lots of fun times at the hotel and at the restaurant for silly pictures with good friends!

Monday I had to actually work after 2 fun filled days! Since Amy and I are both Chemists we decided to ham it up for the camera! I don't think there are too many of us, Chemistry-Scrapping Geeks, so this picture got me ready for my week of training at the Beckman Coulter Training Center in Brea! So glad for this training so I could come down at this time.
Saturday Mindy and her friend Denise came and stayed with me. We had so much fun hanging out. We spent the afternoon at the Getty Museum. The weather was so glorious (Mindy's term) that we spent most of our time enjoying the views and the wonderful gardens!
But alas all good things must come to an end and Sunday night I flew back to Seattle! So glad I had this awesome trip!
