5 more from 12

I just realized it is April 1st and I have finished 35 lo's for the year. Since I put up a few a couple of days ago, I thought I would add a few more. In fact I hope to have all 144 put up here by the end of the year.

Twelve

For the last 3 months I have been taking Stacy J Twelve class at BPS! The idea is to create 12 layouts a month using 12 topics using a story telling focus. Stacy says "You have exactly enough time to tell your most important stories".
I thought I would post a few here so others besides my classmates could see my work.

Boston Mini

Ithink I have finally finished my Boston mini and thought I would share it here on my blog. It as way to many pages to show anywhere else. I started with a book from elisiejoy.etsy.com. I love her paper combinations and her cool covers which I quickly ruined with hot iron. Instead of throwing it out I decided to go with it and outlined the letters and added the leaves. I then added a piece of acrylic to protect the front of the book. From there I just added journaling from my trip notes, sometimes in paragraphs, sometimes in bullet form. The next part was the hardest. I had to pick ao FEW pictures from the 1500 or so my hubby took. Good thing 200 of them could be eliminated quickly--no graveyard pictures! (ok maybe I should include one). I picked some of my favorites and ones that represented the feel of the trip. and put it all together. I have one envelope in back with some extra memorablia in it. If later I feel like adding more stories I can, but it feels done right now. So here is our NE vacation in one 4x6 book. I didn't include all of my pages but here is a nice sampling.

December Daily

It is time again for the December Daily preparations. I think why I love this book so much is that I get to try new techniques plus use old standards to create a one of a kind book. This year I am using Simple Stories Christmas line for my basic pages. But for each day I wanted a special number page. I love the clear page look in a book-so for the last year I have been collecting transparancies to use in the book. While the base pages are 6x8.5, the number pages are 3x8.5 or are a four pocket page I made from baseball card holders. I stole many of the ideas from a lot of different blogs so don't think I am that creative, but I did have so much fun painting, stamping spritzing, sewing and so much more. What I have here are the number pages that will be at the front of each days entry. I am not sure how all of the rest will go together--we will see what happens during December. First ,here is the cover.
This ia a calendar I will attach to the inside of the front cover--leaving it loose for now so I can write on it during Dec.

This is the title page--a clear pocket page--I realize I forgot the year here so will add 2011 somewhere.
